Customized Training
Faculty and staff frequently design, develop, and present customized training and professional development for a variety of clients in the local government and nonprofit sectors.  Examples of topic areas include leadership, supervisory skills, time management, customer service, stress management, public sector ethics, and strategic planning for leaders.  To discuss specific training needs contact Misty Bruckner.
 
Facilitation
Faculty and staff in the Center for Urban Studies are available to serve as neutral facilitators at a variety of meetings. Requests often come from local governing bodies, community agencies and organizations, and community interest groups. Focus groups, regional summits, strategic planning retreats, and community meetings are examples of the wide range of options available. Contact Misty Bruckner for details.
 
Applied Research
Faculty and staff are available to engage in applied research to assist communities and organizations address issues identified by state, local and community leaders.  These can include areas such as community and organization surveys, community assessments, technical assistance, public safety (fire and police services), government performance, public health, professional management in government and the nonprofit sectors, water resources, and economic development.  For more information, contact Misty Bruckner.
