Kansas enjoys a national reputation as a fiscally responsible state. This recognition reflects a longstanding commitment by Kansans to each other and their government. Each generation of taxpayers, however, must renew this fiscal legacy. The Kansas Public Finance Center aims to facilitate this process through policy research and technical assistance.
State Budget Roundtable An informal discussion of state budget issues in a State Budget Roundtable was held at the Wichita State University in spring 2002. Students, faculty, members of the University community, and members of the public participated in the roundtable discussion. In preparation for each discussion, background materials on the topic of the week were posted on this page in advance of the roundtable. The discussion were led by a member of the faculty of the Hugo Wall School of Urban and Public Affairs. The schedule for the State Budget Roundtable is outlined below.
