The Hugo Wall Public Administration Society PDF Print E-mail

The Hugo Wall Public Administration Society (HWPAS) is open to all students enrolled in the Master of Public Administration degree. Meetings are held reguarly during the academic year.  Please contact one of the current officers for details or check the HWPAS Blackboard account for the latest schedule, events and other infomation. 

The Hugo Wall Public Administration Society exists to enhance the educational, professional, and personal experiences of public administration students of the Hugo Wall School of Urban and Public Affairs by promoting and facilitating communication and interaction among students, faculty, alumni, and other public administration professionals.

Public Administration SocietyThe society seeks to:

  • Provide a forum through which students can exchange information, network, and gain support from other students in an informal setting.
  • Seek out and provide information on available internships, fellowships, and assistantships.
  • Provide orientation services for incoming students.
  • Provide a list of conferences open to students and assist students in obtaining the means to attend.
  • Facilitate students’ development of public administration job-related skills.
  • Serve as a means for student socialization and recreation.

Membership:
The Hugo Wall Public Administration Society (HWPAS) is open to any student, with a full-time or part-time course load who:

  • has full graduate degree-seeking status in the Hugo Wall School of Urban and Public Affairs
  • or is enrolled in a graduate certificate program in the Hugo Wall School.

Monthly, September- May
Sedgwick Master Classroom (Room 207, Lindquist Hall)
