Hugo Wall School 50th Anniversary 2007-2008

In the beginning...

Dr. Hugo Wall was one of a group of pioneering educators in the central United States who championed professionalism in public administration.  He envisioned a “center” that would provide services directly to state and local governments. In 1951, Dr. Hugo Wall wrote his former student Clark Ahlberg, "[President] Corbin and I...still are convinced that this institution ought to have an honest-to-God School of Public Administration and one of these days we may get the job done."   Thankfully, for all of us and the communities our graduates have served, Dr. Wall persevered. The events during 2007-2008 allowed us celebrate his achievement and set the course for the next 50 years.
