The Graduate Certificate in City and County Management offers advanced study in city and county management. The courses are drawn from the Master of Public Administration degree program of the Hugo Wall School of Urban and Public Affairs. The curriculum is designed to stimulate critical examination and application of theory, concepts, and best practices in city and county management. Those completing the program will be awarded the Graduate Certificate in City and County Management and completion will be recognized on the student’s official university transcript.

What are the program requirements? The Graduate Certificate in City and County Management requires four graduate-level courses and their prerequisites from the Master of Public Administration degree program as outlined below:Complete each of the following required courses:

Students in the certificate program must earn a grade of "B" or better in all certficate courses. No transfer credit will be accepted for the Graduate Certificate in City and County Management. Certificate courses must be completed within six years or less. Classes normally take place after 5 p.m. on weekdays.
What must I do to be admitted? Applicants who speak English as a second language must have a score of 600 or more on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and a score of 50 or more on the Test of Spoken English (TSE) or the Speaking Proficiency English Assessment Kit (SPEAK) test.
